Article goal: After reading this article, you will be able to export the heatmap of a template as an Excel file (.xlsx).

You can access this area with the Editor or Administrator role.

The exported Excel file is intended solely as a backup and for documentation purposes. Re-importing the file into findIQ is not possible.

How to export a heatmap

1. Open Templates in the Knowledge Hub

Click Knowledge Hub in the top navigation. Then click Templates in the left sidebar. The templates overview displays all templates in your organization.

2. Select a template

Click the template whose heatmap you want to export. The template detail view opens and displays the template details.

3. Open the heatmap

Click Heatmap under Knowledge in the left sidebar.

4. Open the menu

Click the three-dot menu (โ‹ฎ) to the right of the Version History button in the upper right corner. A dropdown menu opens with the options Export.

5. Export the heatmap

Click Export. The heatmap downloads as an Excel file (.xlsx). The file contains the complete symptom-cause matrix with all likelihood values.

Important notes

  • The export always contains the current version of the heatmap. If you want to save a specific state, export the heatmap before and after making changes. You can also view older versions using the Version History button.

  • The rows in the Excel file correspond to the symptoms, and the columns correspond to the causes of the template.

  • You can also upload a heatmap via the Import option in the same three-dot menu.

  • Texts in all languages are exported, but not documents or metadata.
